Swing

He sits on the swing.

Waiting.

Cold iron sky, black rust chains.

Echoes blithely tug, but lambent moments fade,

Each gust of January’s breath leaves doubt bedizened,

And clamour betraying those pellucid promises,

He keeps fragile,

Waiting.

He sits on the swing.
