Like bearded moss,
I know how to hide,
on the dark side,
glimpsing fierce rays.
My solace in damp shadows,
was never fully formed.
I peek at the spotlight,
with shaded eyes,
and pale cupped hands,
trembling at its gaze.
… but I know how to hide.
